180 x 90 x 90 x 40cm SHELVING UNIT
Everything you need to know to help you get your new G-Rack 180 x 90 x 90 x 40cm boltless corner shelving unit assembled and ready for use.
Read this guide thoroughly before starting to build your shelves.
Before you get started, unpack the box carefully and check all components are present and correct.
For a straight forward build, we use a design that doesn't require screws or bolts - however you will need a mallet to knock the framework in to place. We'd also recommend getting a competent friend to give you a hand.
Assess the space where you want your rack to go; ensure you have the room to build, and that the floor space will provide a solid and stable footing for the rack.
If you're building a tall, narrow bay, we recommend fixing it to the floor for additional stability. Likewise, if you're extending your rack over 2000mm high, then we recommend fixing these to the wall where possible.
Take care during assembly by following these instructions, and limiting any hazards by using caution.
Be careful when building your rack, and when using it, particularly when lifting or stretching - or when using tools.
Make sure you're wearing appropriate clothing - protective gloves, and footwear are recommended.
Build on a suitable level floor, which is strong enough to support the load, and allow adequate working space. Build as close as possible to where you want the shelves to go.
Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.

STEP 1 Select two half right-angle uprights (PART A). Attach right-angle feet (PART I) on to the bases, and right-angle upright connectors (PART G) into the tops. Knock into place with a rubber mallet if required.
STEP 2 Add second half right-angle upright (PART A) to the upright connector (PART G) using mallet.
STEP 3 Insert a back beam (PART C) into upright (PART A) at the required level for the lowest shelf. Knock into place with a rubber mallet if required.
STEP 4 Join other end of back beam (PART C) into the other upright (PART A) at the same height. For convenience, ask another person to hold the frames in place while you secure them by tapping with a rubber mallet.
STEP 5 Continue to add back beams (PART C) between the uprights (PART A) at the preferred shelf heights to create the back frame.
STEP 6 Add back beam (PART C) into upright (PART A) at the lowest shelf height (like you did previously) making a right angle from the back frame. Connect side beam (PART D) to the other upright, creating the basis of three of your sides. To ensure you get it right, use your first frame as a template to get the correct spacing.
STEP 7 Take your two remaining right-angle uprights, right-angle upright connector and right-angle feet (PARTS A, G AND I) and create a full 180cm upright as you did in STEP 1. Connect this upright to the back beam (PART C) then connect side beam (PART D) Knock into place with a rubber mallet if required.
STEP 8 Add wide-angle feet (PART H) to the bottoms of the wide-angle uprights (PART B) then complete the base of the structure by connecting the wide-angle uprights (PART B) to the two free ends of the side beams (PART D), and adding a front beam (PART E) between them at the lowest shelf height. Knock into place with a rubber mallet.
STEP 9 Knock wide-angle upright connectors (PART H) into the tops of the wide-angle uprights (PART B)
STEP 10 Add all remaining front (PART E), side (PART D)and back beams (PART C) into uprights, using the original back frame as a guide for shelf heights. Knock securely into place with a mallet.
STEP 12 Insert MDF boards (PART K) on to each level, sitting comfortably on the front, back and side beams, and beam ties.
STEP 13 Your shelving is now complete. Use unit connectors (available separately) to fasten two shelving units together.
Now your shelves are built and ready to use, read the below carefully and ensure that all users are aware of the rules for safe use.
These shelves are tested and guaranteed to hold 175kg per shelf when evenly loaded (a total of 875kg per unit), never over load the unit. Best practice is always to load your heavier items on the lower shelves and lighter items on the higher shelves.
Never climb on the structure, or stand on the shelving. If you need to reach the higher shelves, always use safety steps to reach the high shelves - but don't lean or support ladders, steps or other objects against the shelving.
Do not use in damp or wet conditions.
