2 Degrees of Upright Connectors

You’ve probably heard of the Six Degrees of Separation theory; the idea that every person on the planet is connected by 6 links. You may even have played the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game, to connect all actors to Kevin Bacon in 6 films or fewer. But what about actual, real-world connections that matter?

We’re of course talking about how you’re connecting the two halves of your G-Rack boltless shelving unit together.

If you didn’t know already, all of our racks are shipped out to you flat packed, with our 180cm tall units coming as two 90cm tall upright per leg (i.e. 8 uprights per unit), and it’s up to you to get these set up together.

So, how do you do that with our boltless shelving unit design? Easy. To join two 90cm uprights together, you just place one of our upright connectors between the two uprights, and you get a fully extended 180cm tall leg, with the additional stability of a stainless steel plate in the middle of the leg.

All you have to do is place one of the connectors on the first upright, and securely knock it into place with a rubber mallet (sold separately), before placing upright two on the other end of the connector, and again tapping into place with a mallet.

Then, when you’ve got multiple units, you can easily join two together with our bay connectors.

Both our bay connectors, and our upright connectors are available to order online now in our spares and accessories; whether you’ve mislaid your original set, or are looking for some new ones to help you reorganise your storage set up.
